Aurendale is a 21+ Heavy RP Guild.Aurendale is a small frontier town rebuilt after its fall in the Third War. Once forgotten ruins, it now stands again at a lonely crossroads. Its fate is not forged by armies or kingdoms, but by the hands of the people who live there. Survival is a shared effort: hunters, healers, craftsmen, wanderers, soldiers, and scholars all working side by side to raise a community from the wilds. The town motto is “gentle heart, sturdy spine.”The town sits tucked against the edge of Havenbough Woods, a quiet stretch of old-growth trees once considered a peaceful refuge by the earliest settlers. These days, the woods feel far less welcoming, but the name has lingered out of habit and hope. To the west lies the Driftwood Coast, a rugged shoreline littered with remnants of conflicts past. It will take no small effort to tame this frontier, but those who find themselves in Aurendale are people who understand hard work.Although our neighborhood is built using Alliance housing, Aurendale itself is faction-neutral, welcoming any who are willing to help rebuild and defend the frontier.Aurendale is a buffet-style roleplay environment. We offer a variety of scenes, including cozy comfort, intense combat, emotional plot development, and a place where characters are remembered. There are no activity requirements, and no single type of roleplay is expected or required. Players are free to engage with the kinds of scenes that interest them most.We want people to show up because the roleplay feels fun and inviting, not out of a sense of obligation. If it ever starts to feel like a job, we’ve taken a misstep. The only exception is logistical: if a player has been inactive for 60+ days without communication, their housing plot may be freed for others. They’re always welcome to re-apply later.
The town is a low-to-mid fantasy heavy roleplay setting. Every character's contribution is important, so to maintain the tone and a collaborative space we only accept characters who are lore abiding and grounded in their capabilities. While not a full list, this means that we do not accept dragon characters, characters with time powers, characters who could defeat anyone in town just because "that's how they're written," or any other theme that might be lore abiding but against the grain of the setting we've built. If you have questions about this, feel free to reach out!Housing GuidelinesWe are not an HOA, but all in-game housing must make sense for Aurendale’s setting. Please keep structures grounded, appropriately styled, and in-character for a small frontier town.Only homes located within the guild neighborhood may be roleplayed as physical locations inside Aurendale. Characters without a housing plot are still full residents, but off-site homes cannot be treated as in-town structures.Selecting plots are a first-come, first-served basis. Once you've been roleplayed in and invited to the guild, you can select an open plot if you'd like to add a house to Aurendale. If a plot opens up from someone leaving or moving their house, priority is generally given to established residents who have demonstrated consistent engagement with the community.Housing is intended to support long-term storytelling and town life, not as a reward or competition. For this reason, plot assignments are handled intentionally rather than through lotteries or auctions. The town council reserves discretion in housing assignments to ensure placements support the health and tone of the community.🍂All players must be 21+.
🍂Be respectful of other players. This includes their time, their well-being, and their consent. This also includes their opinions, beliefs, and sexual/gender identity.
🍂Be responsible for your own emotions. This is not a space to trauma dump, vent, or seek unofficial therapy.
🍂Communicate problems, issues, concerns, delays, or anything else as soon as possible before it becomes an even bigger problem.
🍂Follow basic RP Rules & Etiquette. This includes avoiding god modding, meta gaming, and bleeding IC/OOC.
🍂No policing other players. This includes, but is not limited to, policing lore, opinions, behavior, etc. If you believe there is an issue, reach out to an officer privately.
🍂No drama-mongering. Do not stir conflict, spread rumors, or draw uninvolved players into personal issues.
🍂Handle conflict privately. If an issue arises with another player, contact leadership instead of confronting them publicly.
🍂We assume good intent. Everyone makes mistakes, and we do our best to handle them with clarity and kindness. Our general philosophy on roleplay spaces like this is to keep the focus on our shared hobby. Life is hard and we all have our up's and down's, but genuine connections last when there are healthy boundaries. This doesn't mean that you have to have a manufactured sense of positivity, far from it. Our community is made for adults, and we should understand nuance. Opinions are valid as long as we all treat them as opinions. If we cannot disagree with each other and still love each other and treat everyone with respect, then we have major problems. This community is not for everyone. It never will be. Instead of trying to cater to everyone and pleasing no one, we are making something that fits people with similar mindsets on roleplay.
The town is run by a town council that handle different areas of frontier living. OOCly, they are the guild officers that help enforce rules, create roleplay, and help create a fun, collaborative environment. They all have different titles and laid out roles so that they and everyone else knows where their responsibilities lie, and how they can best serve the community. These are not lifelong positions, and there is no shame in stepping down when situations change.Council positions are appointed, not applied for. Members considered for leadership roles have demonstrated sustained engagement, reliability, and alignment with Aurendale’s tone and values over time.
The Warden is the head of the council and the leader of Aurendale. They oversee the protection of the town, guide its long-term well-being, and lead the town guard. The Warden is responsible for maintaining stability, enforcing local laws, and ensuring that Aurendale remains a safe and welcoming place. The Warden appoints the other members of the Town Council.
The Sage tends to the spiritual and emotional health of Aurendale. They oversee blessings, ceremonies, and seasonal rites, helping mark the turning of the year and the life of the town. The Sage offers guidance, support, and a steady presence for residents in need, ensuring Aurendale remains grounded not just in body, but in spirit.
The Lorekeeper serves as Aurendale’s guide in matters of magic and knowledge. They advise the town on arcane or unusual concerns, and help preserve its folklore, history, and traditions. They also support the town’s educational efforts by offering lessons, workshops, or guidance to any resident seeking to learn more about magic, history, or the wider world. The Lorekeeper keeps the stories of the past alive so the town may learn from them as it grows.
The Quartermaster manages Aurendale’s construction, crafting, and day-to-day economy. They coordinate building efforts, materials, and supplies, ensuring the town has what it needs to grow. They additionally manage the town’s stockpiles and emergency supplies, preparing Aurendale for harsh weather, shortages, or unexpected dangers. OOCly, the Quartermaster also oversees housing assignments and guild resources.
The Herald serves as Aurendale’s welcoming voice and social heart. They help new residents find their footing, coordinate volunteers for festivals and town events, and support the overall morale of the community. At the town hall, the Herald keeps the welcome desk running by greeting visitors, answering questions, and guiding residents to the right hands when they need help. The Herald keeps Aurendale connected, informed, and thriving.

Aurendale is a small guild with emphasis on individual contributions to roleplay and story. We are looking for roleplayers who want immersive, dynamic, and collaborative storytelling. While we actively explore the dynamics of morality and choice in our storylines, Aurendale is generally a good-aligned setting. Not all character themes may fit the "farming sim meets Warcraft 3" kind of setting, but there are still plenty of character ideas we'll happily welcome with open arms.If you're interested in our community, please make sure to read the Overview section of this website before continuing. This ensures you have an idea of who we are, how we do things, and what our rules consist of. After that, the process is simple:1. Submit an Application
You’ll fill out a two-part form.
OOC Section: tells us about you, your character concept, and why you’re interested in Aurendale.
IC Section: a residency form your character fills out for the Town Council.2. OOC Follow-Up
After reviewing your application, we’ll reach out on Discord with any questions or clarifications.3. IC Interview
If everything looks like a good fit, we’ll schedule a short introductory roleplay where your character meets members of the town council and applies for residency. This helps us get a feel for your playstyle and gives you an easy way to step into the story.4. Welcome to Aurendale
If the interview goes well, your character will be approved for residency and guided through their first steps in the town.If you have questions before applying, feel free to reach out.
We look forward to meeting you.

Once you're in the guild, you are free to bring in additional characters if you'd like to. Each new character needs to go through the IC interview / introduction process, but once you're in the guild you don't need to do the OOC parts. The residency form (another application that is just the IC portion) is linked in the Discord. Just be sure to let the council know when you've submitted a form. This form isn't linked here to avoid confusion for new people. This is only for characters that you'd like to be residents of Aurendale. If your alt character is just visiting or attending a festival, then you don't need to go through the process.
